Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between Bookink ("we", "us") and you (the studio, artist, or business using Bookink). By signing up or using the service, you agree to them.
We've tried to write them in plain English. If anything is unclear, write us at hello@bookink.ai before signing up.
1. What Bookink does
Bookink is an AI booking assistant for tattoo studios. Specifically:
- We give you a public link your clients can use to start a booking conversation
- An AI gathers their tattoo idea, references, size, placement, dates, and contact info
- The formatted brief lands in your WhatsApp Business number
- You quote the price, confirm the date, and own the relationship from there
We are a tool. The AI does not commit you to bookings, prices, or promises. You set every price. You confirm every appointment. You handle the relationship with the client.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to sign up
- You're responsible for keeping your login secure
- You're responsible for what your team does inside your workspace
- One workspace = one business / studio / brand. You can have multiple workspaces under your account (e.g. one for your studio, one for your personal artist brand)
3. Free trial
- Every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial
- No credit card required to start
- On day 30, you decide whether to add a card and continue, or let the trial end
- If the trial ends without a card, your workspace stays in a read-only state — your data is preserved, your public link redirects to a "this studio is updating" page, no new leads come in. Add a card any time and everything resumes instantly
- We do not charge a card you didn't enter. We do not auto-bill at trial end
4. Pricing and billing
- Current pricing is shown on the pricing page. By signing up to a paid plan, you agree to the prices in effect at that time
- You can pay monthly or yearly. Yearly saves ~33%
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details
- For the Studio plan, the per-artist add-on ($7/mo per bookable team member) is billed automatically based on the number of artists configured in your workspace
- If we change our prices, we notify you 30 days in advance. Existing customers keep their current rate for at least 12 months from the change
- Refunds: monthly plans are non-refundable for the current month. Yearly plans can be cancelled at any time but are non-refundable. We do not pro-rate refunds
5. Cancellation
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings
- Your workspace stays active until the end of the current billing period
- After that, your workspace enters read-only state (data preserved, public link disabled)
- You can re-activate any time by adding a payment method
- You can request full deletion at any time — we remove your workspace within 30 days
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Bookink for anything illegal where you operate
- Use it to harass, defraud, or harm your clients or anyone else
- Try to break into our systems, reverse-engineer the product, or copy its design wholesale to compete with us
- Use Bookink to send spam or unsolicited messages
- Use the AI to generate content that promotes hate, violence, or illegal services
If you violate these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account. We try to give warning first when possible.
7. AI behavior and limits
The AI is built to help, but it's not perfect. Specifically:
- It may misunderstand a client's intent — you should review opportunities before confirming bookings
- It never sets final prices on your behalf — only ranges, and only when you've configured them
- It can be paused or taken over by your team at any moment
- It does not give medical, legal, or aftercare advice — your studio is responsible for that
8. Your content
You own:
- Your workspace data (pricing rules, artist profiles, conversations, bookings)
- Your clients' conversations and contact info (as the data controller for those clients)
You grant us a limited license to process this data — only as needed to operate the service for you (see the Privacy Policy for details).
9. Our content
We own the Bookink product — the software, the AI prompts, the brand, the website. You don't gain ownership of any of it by using the service.
The "Powered by Bookink.ai" footer appears on every public Bookink link. This is not removable on any plan — it's part of how the product works.
10. Availability and downtime
- We aim for 99.5%+ uptime but don't guarantee a specific SLA on Basic and Studio plans
- Enterprise contracts include a specific SLA
- Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance when possible
- If a third-party service we depend on (OpenAI, WhatsApp, Stripe, Supabase) goes down, parts of Bookink may be affected
11. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law:
- Bookink is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
- This does not limit liability for things the law says cannot be limited (gross negligence, intentional harm, certain consumer protections)
12. Disputes
If you have a problem, write to hello@bookink.ai first. We aim to respond within 7 days and resolve most things informally.
If we can't resolve it: any dispute is subject to the laws of Indonesia (where Bookink is operated). For consumers in the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with stronger consumer protection, you keep the rights guaranteed by your local laws.
13. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we email you 30 days in advance. For minor edits, we update the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
